Pathways will begin the Signs of Suicide program. Please see the letter linked in this email for more information about the program and its goals. Signs of Suicide Informational Letter . The following are the scheduled activities related to the SOS program:
- 11/3 4PM-5PM Virtual Parent Meeting- The parent meeting is an opportunity to ask questions about the program and become aware of suicide prevention efforts in Nye County. Click the following link to participate. Parent Meeting Zoom Link
- 11/4 8-8:40 AM Pathways Counseling Center Friends for Life- Students will watch a video that teaches them how to recognize potential signs and symptoms of suicide in their peers and to tell a trusted adult.
- 11/9 Pathways Counseling Center Individual Screenings- Students will fill out a questionnaire and will meet with a School Social Worker or School Mental Health Professional individually. If you would like your child to be screened, please fill out the electronic permission slip attached to this email and contact Mrs. Kunzi at 775-751-6829, ext. 269 or skunzi@nyeschools.org, to schedule a time. The screening will take about an hour.
